Basic information about the organization of the study

Practical training will be provided

• at Kia Slovakia production plant, Sv. Jána Nepomuckého 1282/1 in Teplička nad Váhom,
• at the Educational Center, Hlavná 400/1, Gbeľany,
• for the field Mechanic Specialist in automotive production and Autotronic (Secondary vocational school of engineering in Kysucké Nové Mesto, Športová 1326, Kysucké Nové Mesto),
• for the field Mechanic Electrician - Automation Technology (Secondary Vocational School of Electrical Engineering, Komenského 50, Žilina

Job Opportunities

The employer will provide practical training as part of vocational education and training for the profession:

In the 3-year apprenticeship 2488 H Mechanic Specialist in automotive production. Upon successful completion of the study program, the graduate will receive secondary vocational education, an apprenticeship certificate and a certificate of final examination. Graduate employment opportunities: assembly of exterior and interior parts of vehicle parts, including the completion of engine parts and operation of equipment and machines in production areas.

In the 4-year field of study 2495 K Autotronic. Upon successful completion of the study program, the graduate will receive complete secondary vocational education, a school-leaving certificate and an apprenticeship certificate. Graduate employment opportunities: performing tasks as a construction, technological, assembly, and operational technician.

In the 4-year field of study 2697 K Mechanic Electrician - Automation Technology. Upon successful completion of the study program, the graduate will receive complete secondary vocational education, a school-leaving certificate and an apprenticeship certificate. Graduate employment opportunities: operation, servicing and management of power distribution systems for machines and equipment, also utilizing automation technology. Operation of pneumatic and hydraulic machines and devices controlled manually, electrically or by computer. Programming of automatic machines.

Material and financial support for the student

The employer will provide the student with material support as follows:

• personal protective equipment to the same extent as provided by the employer to an employee who performs the profession for which the student is being trained,
• assessment of the student's health, sensory and psychological fitness, if such an assessment is required for the performance of practical training,
• meal allowance to the same extent as provided to an employee who performs the profession,
• provision of bus transport along the company's existing bus routes.

The employer will provide the student with financial support:

• a company scholarship for the relevant years of full-time study as defined in the apprenticeship contract,
• a reward for productive work for the relevant years of full-time study as defined in the apprenticeship contract.

Criteria for selecting successful applicants determined by the employer

The selection of applicants for the conclusion of an apprenticeship contract will be based on the following criteria:

• evaluation of study results from grades 6 to 9 of elementary school,
• skills test,
• admission interview.
