Construction of Kia's manufacturing plant nearby Zilina is an investment of high quality and the Zilina region can be proud of it, the U.S. Ambassador to Slovakia Rodolphe Vallee said during his visit to Kia Motors Slovakia on February 7. Vallee emphasised that from his position he would try to assist U.S. companies that would be interested in cooperation with the car maker. "I will encourage them to come and talk about the possibilities of cooperation," said Vallee.
Discussions with the company management were held during his visit. In addition, the U.S. Ambassador was familiarized with the Kia project in Slovakia through presentation as well as with the car production right at the press, body and assembly shops.
