With this third consecutive award, Kia Slovakia has confirmed its position as a leader in employee health and well-being in Slovakia. This year’s edition of the survey placed special emphasis on innovative approaches to mental health. The Healthy Company of the Year award confirms that Kia approaches employee care with great sensitivity, focusing not only on physical health but also on mental well-being, dedicating significant attention and effort to this area.

For example, the company provides free psychological counselling for employees and their family members through an external psychologist. Employees also have access to expert lectures, podcasts, and articles in the company magazine addressing topics related to mental health in both professional and personal life.

“This repeated success is proof of our ongoing commitment to the health and satisfaction of our employees. We consider it a priority not only to provide a safe and inspiring working environment, but also to actively support their overall well-being and a healthy lifestyle,” said Branislav Imre, Vice President of the Administration Division, commenting on the award.

The car manufacturer also regularly prepares a wide range of activities focused on physical health prevention for its employees. These include the organization of Health Days, lectures on physical and mental health, on-site massages, healthy snacks in the form of fruit in relaxation zones, on-site health screenings of basic vital functions, healthy meals based on recipes by a nutrition therapist included in the cafeteria menu, and competitions encouraging physical activity throughout the year.

For example, as part of the Kia Around the World initiative, employees collectively completed 70,000 kilometres virtually, engaging in various physical activities such as running, cycling, hiking and roller skating.

“We are pleased with the strong interest shown by our employees in Health Days and in all events and competitions related not only to physical but also mental health. We have been organizing these activities for several years, and the growing participation of employees and their family members each year encourages us to continue. Employee feedback is very important to us, so that these activities reflect their needs,” added Potoček.
