On January 3, the New Year’s Opening Ceremony of Kia Motors Slovakia held in the Zilina Training Centre in Gbelany. The year 2006 will be a very important and meaningful milestone in the history of Kia Motors Slovakia, because the entire construction and installation of production technologies will be finished in spring this year and after the successful trial operation the mass production will be launched by the end of this year.
The program was officially opened by Dusan Dvorak, the Manager of Public Relations, who also moderated the all event. At the beginning, all the participants watched a short video, which captures history of the company as well as the latest shots from the plant construction. The next part of the program was devoted to the Best Employee Awards Ceremony. Best employees of the company were awarded for their contribution and excellent work done in the second half of 2005. Jozef Valach, the General Manager of Human Resources, who announced the best employees and In-Kyu Bae, the President of the company, who presented the awards, were invited on the stage. Together twelve awards were presented. Two gold awards and ten silver ones. At the end of the Opening Ceremony, Mr. President made the New Year’s speech. Finally, a big applause followed, by which all the participants welcomed the New Year 2006.
