Kia Motors Slovakia increases basic salaries by 4.5%


The company Kia Motors Slovakia will increase as of February 2012 basic salaries of all its employees by 4.5%. Furthermore, the employees’ basic salaries will also grow individually throughout this year based on internal regulations as well. This is the result of negotiation between the company and employees’ representatives. Kia offers its employees work with state-of-the-art technologies and a wide social program. In addition to a basic salary, employees can obtain attendance, summer, Christmas and other bonuses as a reward for their effort and loyalty. The plant will continue to provide for its employees direct bus transportation to work from Zilina region. Employees can also utilize discount for purchase of cars and mortgage support for selected employees.

“Employees have been always at the first place. Thanks to their hard work and responsible approach our car and engine production grew throughout the whole year 2011 as well. We plan to produce the second generation of the Kia cee’d model and a new type of engine this year and a mutual cooperation among all teams and departments will be necessary. Our company appreciates the well-trained and motivated employees very much, therefore we pay a lot of attention to increase their skills and knowledge so they can continuously progress,” said Eek-Hee Lee, President and CEO of Kia Motors Slovakia.
