In line with its vision of sustainable mobility, the company name Kia Motors Slovakia s. r. o. has been changed to Kia Slovakia s. r. o. The aim is to help the Kia brand expand into new areas of business and accelerate the development of next‑generation eco‑friendly vehicles. The change of the company name also represents further progress in increasing the brand’s attractiveness to a broader public.

“Kia Slovakia is the new company name of our organization, which operates Kia’s only manufacturing plant in Europe. The name change is part of the global transformation of the Kia brand that began at the start of 2021, when the new brand slogan—Movement that inspires—was also introduced,” said Tomáš Potoček, Spokesperson for Kia Slovakia.

The transformation from Kia Motors Slovakia to Kia Slovakia highlights the company’s commitment to Kia’s long‑term brand strategy, known as “Plan S,” which was announced in 2020 and is designed to help Kia secure a leading position in sustainable mobility. The strategy includes next‑generation electric vehicles (EVs and BEVs), mobility solutions and services, and advanced purpose‑built vehicles. Alongside these efforts, Kia will also promote sustainable manufacturing through the use of cleaner energy and recyclable materials.

In its development activities, Kia is focusing on the popularization of battery electric vehicles and plans to strengthen its global product lineup by introducing seven new BEV models by 2026. The new models will include passenger cars, SUVs, and MPVs across multiple segments, featuring leading technologies for long‑distance driving and high‑speed charging based on the all‑new Electric‑Global Modular Platform (E‑GMP).
