Sales in North America, Europe, China, general markets and Korea post year-on-year sales growth -5.6%, -1.9%, 34.7%, 50.9% and 1.3%, respectively. Cumulatively, through the first eight months of 2008, Kia’s global sales increased by 16% year-on-year and reached 951,948 units. China and general markets have experienced the largest gains of 41.8%, and 35.7%, respectively. Cumulative year-on-year sales increases have also been experienced in all other sales regions: Korea (16%), Europe (10.8%) and North America (2.3%).
