Kia has new design chief


Kia Motors Corporation has appointed a new design chief  the leading automotive industry designer Peter Schreyer (53). During the past years, he was the chief designer for Audi (1994 - 2002) and Volkswagen (2002 - 2005), and since 2005 has been the head of advanced design for the Volkswagen Group. He designed world renown cars such as Lamborghini Murcielago, Audi A6, Audi TT or VW New Beetle and VW Passat. His main task will be the coordination of design activities of all Kia design centers located in Korean Namyang, European Frankfurt, American Los Angeles and Japanese Tokyo and he will also play significant role in implementing new design style of the entire range of Kia models. Peter Schreyer will officially join Kia on September 1, 2006.
