Each entrant was given a ‘boarding pass’ which enabled them to win an opportunity to partake of the cee’d European Test Drive with a chance to win the Kia cee’d.
The interest in the competition was huge as it attracted 20,000 entrants, of which only 70 participants from 21 countries attended the one-day grand final. Each finalist had an opportunity to drive cee’d at the Hockenheim racing circuit, where they received a safer driving course from professional instructors, tested stability of the chassis and different driving surfaces as well as handling of the Kia cee’d under extreme conditions.
Ultimately, 24-year-old Christophe Maquel from Belgium was judged by the jury to be a worthy winner. The architectural designer from Attert was delighted to take home a top-of-the-range Kia cee’d EX worth €28,000.
