Drive to Glory


Participants who designed the body of the cee’d car in their national colours and official mascots of UEFA EURO 2008 graphics were tested in their creativity. The competition was implemented through local Kia websites, dealer shops, newspapers and the Kia football microsite http://euro2008.kiamotors.com.

“Drive to Glory” journey started from Kia plant near Zilina to Vienna, where the final glory of the European Championship was celebrated. Among the cars of the parade, there was also Kia cee’d in the colours of the Slovak Republic representing the home country of cee’d. All winners participated in the road show parade and the beginning of the best football competition in Europe, UEFA EURO 2008 in Vienna. Kia Motors flew all sixteen designers to Geneva to be Kia’s VIP guests at the match between Portugal and Turkey in the 30,000 seater Stade de Geneve.

The designed Kia cee’d cars are displayed at the MuseumsQuartier, one of the most famous cultural complexes in Vienna. During the championship they are used as testing cars for football fans.
