The plant Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia is located in the town of West Point, 70 miles west of Atlanta, the capital of Georgia, USA. Nowadays, it employs around 300 people and is in the process of construction. The production launch is scheduled for December 1, 2008. During these days, four operators and a group leader go through special training of technological processes in press shop in our plant. Michael McCabe, the group leader, says for all: “We are very surprised with the cleanness, organization and the area of the plant. Our Slovak colleagues are very kind and energetic to train my team. We hope to learn as much as we can in spite of language barrier.”
As they said this is their first visit to Slovakia and they did not know where they were travelling. “When we landed in Zilina, we were highly impressed with the beautiful landscape, nature and a lot of apple trees,” said Richard. “Slovak people are very kind and hospitable,” added Brandy. Besides other things, Charlie appreciated Slovak cuisine. He likes grilled chicken with rice very much. At the end Waymon said that hopefully they will visit Slovakia again.
