cee’d wins ‘Playboy’ annual award

The new Kia cee’d recently won an interesting and unconventional award. A five-door hatchback has been selected as one of the best cars in Europe by the Polish edition of Playboy Magazine. In the publication’s annual ‘Playboy Car of the Year’ contest, judged by a panel of motoring experts and journalists, the Kia cee'd won the ‘Everyday Car’ section.

The Playboy award’s panel stated that “the Kia cee’d has opened up a new era for Korean motoring in Europe and banished any negative feelings previously associated with some Korean-made cars.” The magazine’s overall Car of the Year was the Porsche 911 Turbo, while the Sports Car crown went to the Jaguar XKR and the Cadillac Escalade took the ‘Car for Any Road’ award – so the Kia cee’d is among prestigious company.
